Did You Know? Blood Types Help Solve Crimes

🩸 Did You Know? Blood Can Reveal the Suspect!

In forensic science, even a small drop of blood can be a powerful clue. One of the first things tested at a crime scene is the blood type — A, B, AB, or O.

🔬 What Are Blood Types?

There are 4 main blood groups:
• A
• B
• AB (universal recipient)
• O (universal donor)

Each type also has a Rh factor: positive (+) or negative (−), so we get 8 types total.

🕵️‍♀️ How Forensics Uses Blood

Blood type helps:
• Narrow down suspects
• Eliminate innocent people
• Match suspects to the scene

Example: If the crime scene blood is AB-, and only 1 suspect has that rare type—it becomes a key clue.

🧬 What About DNA?

Blood typing is fast and helpful early in the case. Later, DNA analysis gives a 99.99% match to confirm identity.

📌 Final Note

Blood isn’t just red fluid—it’s evidence. It tells stories, reveals secrets, and helps bring justice. 🕵️‍♂️🔬
